Arsenal are still keen on signing Karim Benzema - whose new Real Madrid contract has not secured his future.

The striker has struggled for form and goals since the start of last season.

And despite extending his deal last week until 2021, Madrid could look to sell next year.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, the contract was just to raise the fee Madrid can get for the Frenchman.

Arsene Wenger remains a big admirer and has always wanted him at the Emirates.

Liverpool face competition from Arsenal and Real Madrid for Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic.

Ex-Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has long tracked the 19-year-old USA international at Anfield, along with Tottenham.

According to TransferMarketWeb though, the Gunners and Madrid have now joined the hunt.

Pulisic’s contract runs until 2020, and his huge potential could see him secure a move away from Germany.

Should Liverpool make a move, Madrid, Arsenal or Spurs may look to hijack their long-standing interest.

Diego Costa has taken to Instagram to thank Chelsea fans for their unconditional support - and explained his exit.

The 28-year-old secured his return to Atletico Madrid after his summer saga.

And Costa wrote on his post last night: “My cycle at Chelsea began three years ago – three remarkable years in all aspects – and I will never forget it.

“Two championship titles, a Community Shield, 120 matches, 59 goals and 24 assists later this cycle has ended. Not the way I would have wanted – far from it – but the best way possible.

“The wonderful fans of such equally admirable club and all team mates, as well as all clinical, administrative and logistics staff will remain forever in my mind and in my heart.

“I’m sure they will understand the reason why this cycle of mine has now ended – because I could not lose faith in myself. Thank you Chelsea for everything!”
