Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: Liverpool star made right decision in leaving Arsenal, says Klopp

Oxlade-Chamberlain quit the Gunners and moved north for £35m on deadline day last month.

And Klopp has no doubt the England international made the right call.

"A new start is... kind of a relief,” the Liverpool boss said.

“You are in a situation in your old club... and you accept it at some point and then it's difficult to make the next step.

"I thought it made complete sense for Alex to change club, especially to come here.

“So far, I can see that he has settled in perfectly."

Klopp has confirmed Oxlade-Chamberlain will make his Reds debut at Leicester tonight.

Third-choice shot-stopper Danny Ward will also get a game in goal at the King Power Stadium.

Ben Woodburn and Dominic Solanke could also feature as Klopp rings the changes.

"We have to make changes, we have to rotate," the German said.

"We are convinced about this squad which is why we give different players opportunities."

Liverpool kick-off at Leicester at 7.45pm tonight.
