That’s the opinion of Paul Dickov who believes the Reds manager has a big decision to make when choosing his starting line-up.

Coutinho ended up staying at Liverpool after being linked with a move to Barcelona to replace Neymar who left for PSG in a record-breaking £198m deal.

And Oxlade-Chamberlain arrived from Arsenal in a £35m switch on transfer deadline day.

Dickov told Betsafe: “Coutinho has been playing for Brazil, does Klopp bring him straight back in?

“Against City, Coutinho has been fantastic.

“If not, Chamberlain should start in the middle, that’s where he wants to play and that’s why he didn’t go to Chelsea.”

Dickov also thinks Liverpool could struggle defensively against City on Saturday.

He explained: “Liverpool have been impressive but defensively against Watford and the last game other teams having chances, especially from set-pieces.

“That is the one position Klopp should have strengthened.”

Liverpool will look to continue their good form after thrashing Arsenal 4-0 before the international break.
