The Danish midfield maestro has been in scintillating form for his country during the World Cup qualifiers.

He scored one and set up three as Denmark thrashed Poland 4-0 last week.

And he was at it again against Armenia last night, securing another assist in a 4-1 win.

But it was his 29th minute free-kick that took the breath away.

Footage shows the 25-year-old lining up the dead ball from about 35 yards out.

The number 10 steps up and thumps it over the wall and into the top corner leaving the keeper no chance.

Spurs fans were loving the goal but expressed their desire for him to replicate his form in a Tottenham shirt after revealing it’s been nearly two years since he scored a free-kick in the Premier League.

“When will he start hitting FK like these in the league again?” asked one supporter.

Another added: “2 goals 5 assist on this break? Get this man home to Spurs asap.”

And a third commented: “I'm expecting big things next weekend, boys.”

It comes as Spurs team-mate Dele Alli found himself in hot water after an obscene gesture made in the direction of Kyle Walker during England’s World Cup qualifier against Slovakia last night.

But Manchester City signing Walker gave a brilliant response on Twitter today.
