Loic Remy is set to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal

The striker has been linked with a move to a host of Premier League clubs this window, including Southampton, Swansea City and his former employers Newcastle United.

Remy has struggled to hold down a place in Chelsea's first team since moving to the club in a £10.5m move from Queens Park Rangers and has fallen down the pecking order under the management of Antonio Conte.

However, the Frenchman now looks set for a new challenge in Spain, with a move to Las Palmas imminent.

Remy will sign for the La Liga side before tonight's 11pm deadline.

Las Palmas were among the clubs chasing Diego Costa on a loan deal, but Chelsea are set to sell the striker to Atletico Madrid for £40m.

A loan move is out on the window, and Costa has stated several times his preference is to train in Madrid until January if he moves this window.

Remy has struggled for game-time in the last two years and only managed eight appearances while on loan at Crystal Palace next season.

The 30-year-old was initially included in Antonio Conte's 25-man squad for the club's pre-season tour of China but has since been left out of all Chelsea's matchday squads so far this season.

Now deemed surplus to requirements, Remy had been available on loan, but the Spanish club have opted for a permanent deal.
