Riyad Mahrez: Leicester star won't move, says Paul Merson

That’s according to Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.

Mahrez is keen to leave the Foxes this summer but hasn’t kicked up a stink by refusing to play.

Roma have failed with three bids for the Algerian, the last of which totalled £32m.

Merson thinks that price is too low for Mahrez, who is likely to stick around at the King Power Stadium.

“Yeah I do (think he will stay),” Merson said on Sky Sports.

“What Roma are offering is just not enough in this day and age and in this market, when you watch what he can do.

“Nobody else has come in for him.

“When you were going through the teams then I was thinking who could he play for?

“Liverpool have bought already, Arsenal have loads of them players, Man United no, Tottenham no, I think Chelsea no.

Leicester Transfer News: Riyad Mahrez could stay

“Unless Chelsea buy him as another squad player.

“Then he won’t play but he’ll play when Hazard doesn’t play.”

The transfer deadline is at 11pm on Thursday.

A deal will have to be rushed through in the coming days, though.

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Thursday night.
