At least that’s what Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones has claimed on Twitter.

Wood, 25, has spent the past eight years plying his trade in England after joining West Brom from Hamilton Wanderers in his native New Zealand.

But not until he joined Leeds in 2015 has he been unable to nail down a regular starting spot and show off his true goalscoring credentials.

Wood has smashed in 43 goals in all competitions for the Whites over the past two seasons, earning rave reviews in the process.

And it seems a trio of managers believe he’s ready to return to the top flight, where he previously featured fleetingly for West Brom and Leicester.

According to transfer expert Jones, Burnley have seen a bid for Wood knocked back.

Reports elsewhere suggest that offer was around the £12m mark.

Jones reckons West Brom are interested in taking Wood back to the Hawthorns.

While Premier League new boys Brighton are in for him too as they look to bolster their attack.

Jones claims the Baggies and Seagulls are making their own offers for Wood.

However, he has not specified the figures involved at this stage.
