Barcelona bosses have flown to Liverpool in an attempt to secure a £120m deal for Philippe Coutinho.

A delegation of three Barca officials - Oscar Grau, Raul Sanllehi and Javier Bordas - jetted in to England last night.

But Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have told them that they are wasting their time because the Brazilian playmaker is not for sale.

Liverpool have already rejected a bid of £72m for their star man but Barca are understood to be ready to offer a deal worth up to £120m.

The 25-year-old is keen on a move to the Nou Camp but will not hand in a transfer request at Anfield.

Southampton are prepared to let Virgil van Dijk rot on their sidelines rather than sell him to Liverpool.

Van Dijk is eager to complete a stunning £60m move to Anfield but the Saints have got other plans.

A Southampton source told Starsport: "We do not want to sell Virgil to Liverpool and will happily let him sit in the stands all season if we have to.

"Most of the fans would back the club in this after everything that has gone on."

Van Dijk submitted a transfer request earlier this week in an attempt to fulfil his dream of playing for a 'top club'.

Liverpool have ended their interest in Emre Mor with the Borussia Dortmund ace set to complete a loan move to Inter Milan.

Mor is set to leave Dortmund this summer to help gain more first team experience elsewhere.

German media outlet Deutsche Welle Sports claim Serie A giants Inter have beaten Liverpool to his signature.

They tweeted: "Inter Milan have agreed a 2-year loan deal for BVB's Emre Mor, ending Liverpool's interest in the Turkish winger."
