That’s according to Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini, who writes for transfer rumour specialists Tutto Mercato Web.

Can has spent the past three years at Anfield since joining the Reds from Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen in a £9.75m deal.

And during his time on Merseyside he’s racked up 129 appearances, as well as forging a reputation as a solid defensive midfielder.

Can has now entered the final 12 months of his current Liverpool contract and is expected to be offered a new one.

Ceccarini seems to think the 23-year-old could soon call time on his stint with Jurgen Klopp’s side though.

On Twitter, he wrote: "Juventus ready to retry for Emre Can."

And asked by a fan if a deal could happen, he wrote: "Very dependent on Liverpool, he does not intend to renew."

Juventus’ chances of convincing Liverpool to sell may be slim given Can’s impressive performances last season.

Klopp has also failed to land fellow midfielder Naby Keita from RB Leipzig this summer.

And that situation could see Liverpool run the risk of losing Can for nothing next year rather than sell before August 31’s 10pm deadline.
