Barca are busy looking to spend the money from Neymar’s stunning £198m move to Paris St-Germain on new attacking stars.

As well as targeting Ousmane Dembele and Eden Hazard, the La Liga giants are interested in bringing Coutinho to the Nou Camp.

Liverpool are determined to hold on to the Brazilian star and Jurgen Klopp has insisted recently that the 25-year-old will not be leaving Anfield.

But it appears the club’s hierarchy could be softening their stance over the midfielder, if they can secure a huge return on him.

Transfermarketweb claim Liverpool have asked Barcelona to include Portugal international Gomes in the negotiations.

It is said the Reds have made it clear they want the 24-year-old plus their €90m [£82m] asking price for Coutinho.

Gomes, who is also on Juventus’ radar, only joined Barca for £30m from Valencia last summer and is currently under contract in Spain until June 2021.

But the attacking midfielder struggled to have a major impact last term, scoring just three times in 47 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool are a fan of him and are fully expected to complete at least one more deal before the end of the transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have so far signed three new players this summer, spending a combined £50m on Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Dominic Solanke.
