Starsport understands the La Liga giants are preparing a new £80m bid for the 25-year-old.

Barca have already had a £72m offer snubbed for the Brazilian playmaker.

Reports today suggested the Spanish giants reckon Liverpool would find it hard to turn down an offer of around £89m (€100m) this summer.

And according to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, Barca sent Andre Cuty to London to meet with Coutinho's agents Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci.

The pair work for the agency that represents the Liverpool star.

Their agency also represents Paulinho, who is also a target for Barca.

The Reds insist that Coutinho is not for sale at any price this summer.

However, Barca are refusing to take no for answer in their pursuit of the South American ace.

Coutinho has travelled with his team-mates for the Reds' pre-season tour in Germany this week.
