Riyad Mahrez is on the brink of joining the Gunners.

That’s according to various reports which broke this morning.

The Leicester star made it clear he wanted to leave the King Power at the end of last season.

And now, two separate reports claim a deal taking him to Arsenal is close to being done.

Freelance reporter and BBC Sport contributor Dale O'Donnell says he has been told there could be an announcement soon.

He tweeted: “Mahrez to Arsenal... official announcement expected this week. #AFC”

Elsewhere Italian site Calico Mercato separately say they have information that Algerian is Emirates bound.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed Arsenal have bid for Alexandre Lacazette.

The French forward has quickly emerged as the Gunners’ No.1 target this summer.

French paper Le Progres reported this morning that Lacazette was in London ahead of a potential move to Arsenal.

However, Alaus has taken to Twitter to deny those claims and drop a bombshell.

He has confirmed that Arsenal have bid for Lacazette.

He tweeted: “False Le Progres information: [On] the possible transfer of Alex [Lacazette]… he is not in London.

“The 1st offer [from Arsenal] was for €45m [£39m].”

Arsenal are said to be considering a surprise move for Leeds goalkeeper Rob Green.

Arsene Wenger is on the hunt for a stopper amid fears he could be left short for back-up to Petr Cech.

David Ospina is fed up of playing second fiddle to Cech and has interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Juventus are keen on Wojciech Szczesny following his two-year loan spell at Roma while Emiliano Martinez has emerged as a target for Valencia.

And, according to The Sun on Sunday, Green is a possible option to fill the void.

The veteran keeper faces an uncertain future at Leeds following the signing of Felix Wiedwald from Werder Bremen.
