The Mirror claim they are ready to pay the £13m release clause in his Bayer Leverkusen contract to bring him back to England.

04:00: Jose Mourinho is still interested in signing Everton star Romelu Lukaku.

That's even if Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata completes a move to Old Trafford.

The Sun say Mourinho always intended to sign two top strikers this summer.

03:00: Manchester City could reportedly hijack Chelsea's move for Roma defender Antonio Rudiger.

The Mirror say City have been scouting him for the past few months.

And they will apparently make their interest concrete with an offer this week.

02:00: Arsenal are preparing to make a £125m bid for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe.

According to The Mirror, Arsene Wenger has been in contact with Mbappe's father in the hope he can convince him to join the Gunners over Real Madrid and Manchester City.

He has apparently told Mbappe senior that his son will be the main man at the Emirates, which would be unlikely if he chose to head for the Bernabeu.

00:30: Leon Osman reckons Naby Keita would represent a risky signing for Liverpool.

"With the way the Premier League is going, the top two teams, Chelsea and Tottenham, have got [Victor] Wanyama and [N'Golo] Kante winning the ball back," said the former Everton star, speaking on BBC Radio 5Live.

"It does seem to be a big part of the Premier League but I think to go out and pay £70m for a player who, with all due respect, is just destroying, and he [Keita] has only done one season of it, it's an incredible risk as far as I'm concerned."

21:35pm: Crystal Palace have joined the hunt for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

West Brom, Huddersfield, Leicester, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are all sniffing around.

But according to The Mirror, Crystal Palace also look set to enter the race for his signature.

It's suggested new Palace boss Frank de Boer wants competition for Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni between the sticks.

19:45pm: Sevilla would consider a cash-plus player deal for £35m-rated Chelsea target Vitolo.

Marca say Chelsea are willing to meet the asking pice, albeit in instalments.

However, it's suggested Sevilla are also interested in a part-exchange deal.

The La Liga outfit are keen on Kurt Zouma and Michy Batshuayi.

18:15pm: Everton have reportedly tabled around £17m for Sampdoria star Luis Muriel.

Spanish daily Marca say the Toffees are planning for life without Romelu Lukaku.

They reckon the Premier League outfit have slapped down an offer in the region of £17m for the striker.

16:45pm: Manchester United target Fabinho has agreed a contract with PSG, according to Goal.

The Monaco utility man is eager to make the controversial move to the Ligue 1 giants.

Monaco have already knocked back a €45m bid from PSG.

16:00pm: Don Balon have produced a stunning transfer claim that is probably best taken with a pinch of salt.

The Spanish gossip site claim Antonio Conte wants to sign Dele Alli as well as Romelu Lukaku.

It’s difficult to imagine Spurs selling their star.

15:45pm: Watford have signed Alaves right-back Kiko Femenia on a four-year deal.

Austria youth keeper Daniel Bachmann arrives from Stoke on a three-year contract.

15:00pm: Wolves have agreed a deal to sign Porto midfielder Ruben Neves, according to Journal de Notices.

The Championship side will pay the Portuguese giants a club-record £14m (€16m) transfer fee, it is claimed.

1:30pm: Southampton have confirmed the signing of defender Jan Bednarek from Lech Poznan.

The Poland Under-21 international has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at St Mary’s.

1:15pm: Arsenal are close to the signing of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

That’s according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, who claims the Gunners are on the brink of agreeing a fee for Lacazette.

Ornstein tweeted: “Arsenal close to completing Lacazette deal.

“Final fee almost agreed & he'll then have medical & finalise terms to become #AFC record signing.”

12:30pm: Birmingham have completed the signing of Barnsley defender Marc Roberts.

Elsewhere in the Championship, QPR have snapped up ex-Barnsley winger Josh Scowen on a free transfer.

12:20pm: Manchester United are considering a £61m offer for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to TMW.

Inter Milan are backed by mega-rich Chinese investors but they have baulked at Nainggolan’s £70m asking price.

10:30am: Jose Mourinho wants to sign Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Mourinho has asked Manchester United to land the Croatia international.

United are prepared to offer Kovacic a double-your-money deal, according to Diario Madrista.

But Kovacic has no interest in quitting the Bernabeu while Real have no plans to sell.

10:00am: Ethan Ampadu has agreed to sign for Chelsea.

The Exeter wonderkid has opted to join the champions despite plenty of interest from elsewhere.

Ampadu became the Grecians' youngest player ever at just 15 years old and is tipped to have a massive future in the game.

Grecians boss Paul Tisdale said: “Everyone at Exeter City fully supports Ethan's decision to sign for Chelsea.”

9:00am: Alexandre Lacazette has agreed to join Arsenal.

The Lyon forward is now expected to head to The Emirates in the coming days.

French paper L'Equipe say Lacazette has already been replaced at Lyon as they prepare for the striker's departure.

Mariano Diaz has been brought in from Real Madrid as Lacazette edges towards the exit door.

The Gunners are expected to pay £45m up front with add-ons included in the deal that would make the transfer worth over £50m.

5:00am: Liverpool are interested in signing Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

Cadena COPE claim Sevilla already have several offers on the table for their highly-rated shot-stopper.

Rico reportedly has a £26m release clause in his current contract.

The Reds are said to be keen to secure his signature along with AC Milan.

4:00am: Liverpool have been dealt a possible boost in their pursuit of RB Leipzig star Naby Keita.

Starsport understand the Reds are set to test the water with a bid for the Guinea international.

And Leipzig may have already signed his midfield replacement in Konrad Laimer.

The German outfit announced his arrival on a four year deal from Red Bull Salzburg yesterday afternoon.

2:30am: Jose Mourinho is frustrated by Manchester United's lack of transfer activity so far this summer.

The Sun claim he wanted deals for Alvaro Morata, Ivan Perisic and Nemanja Matic wrapped up in time for the club's pre-season tour of America.

1:00am: Chelsea have launched a move for Porto full-back Alex Telles in case they fail to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus.

The Sun claim the Blues have tabled a £22m bid for the Brazilian, who is apparently open to a Premier League switch.

9:15pm: Chelsea have been handed a huge blow with Alex Sandro set to snub a move to Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte's Blues are ready to splash out upwards of £62m on the 26-year-old Juventus defender.

There have even been claims that Sandro could officially become a Chelsea star this weekend.

But now doubt has been thrown over the potential transfer following the latest shock reports.

The Sun sensationally claim that Sandro will sign a new £93,000-a-week contract at Juventus, snubbing Chelsea in doing so.

8:45: Manchester United are readying a move for Manchester City star Joe Hart.

Jose Mourinho will splash the cash with Champions League football returning to Old Trafford next season.

And according to The Sun, the United boss is eyeing City goalkeeper Hart if David De Gea quits the Red Devils for Real Madrid.

They say the La Liga champions are set to revive their interest in the Spain international this summer.

Real could spend up to £60m on Dea Gea, a world-record fee for a goalkeeper.

And The Sun say Mourinho wants Hart to replace De Gea if he leaves Old Trafford.

Hart, 30, spent last season on loan at Torino after being frozen out by Pep Guardiola.

6:45pm: Arsenal are willing to pay £45m plus add-ons for Alexandre Lacazette, it has been claimed.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is focusing his transfer efforts on landing the Lyon star after being priced out of a move for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Sky Sports claim Arsenal have told Lyon that they are willing to offer them £45m for their 26-year-old star.

And the reports say sources close to the France international are confident a move to north London can be achieved.

5:30pm: Fabio Borini has joined AC Milan on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Sunderland announced the move this afternoon.

Borini netted two goals in all competitions last season for the Black Cats after missing three months through injury.

Milan have reportedly paid £1m up front and the rest of the fee will follow when the deal becomes permanent next summer.

Borini follows Jermaine Defoe out of the Stadium of Light exit door after the England international joined Bournemouth yesterday.

5:00pm: Liverpool have an 'agreement in principle' with Naby Keita but are yet to strike a deal with RB Leipzig.

That's according to transfer guru Gabriele Marcotti, who claims Keita has already sorted out his Anfield contract terms.

When asked whether the Reds have a deal in place with the Guinea international, Marcotti wrote on Twitter: "That's my understanding... agreement in principle on wages/contract length."

He added: "Realize though that they would still need to agree with Leipzig. And agreements in principle only matter so much."

Bundesliga runners-up Leipzig rate Keita at £70m and Liverpool are considering a bid to test the waters.

4:20pm: Double deal alert!

There's been plenty of quick-fire transfer business getting done at Everton this summer and they've sorted out two more deals this afternoon.

The Toffees have landed in-demand striker Henry Onyekuru with the 20-year-old set to spend next season on loan at Anderlecht.

Meanwhile, La Liga giants Barcelona have exercised their buy-back clause to bring Gerard Deulofeu back to Spain.

4:00pm: Arsenal target and Barcelona midfielder Rafinha says he is open to all possibilities regarding his future this summer.

He told Marca: "My future is open to all possibilities and is in the hands of God.

"I am a Barcelona player and the most important thing is to recover from my injury, then we will see what will happen.

"What I can say is that there are no certainties, and that everything is open."

3:05pm: Antonio Rudiger's brother is jetting to London for talks with Chelsea.

Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio claims Roma have been in negotiations with the Blues over a deal for the defender.

And the Germany international now looks to be closing on a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger's brother - who acts as his agent - has jetted to London to seal a deal for the player.
