But the Manchester United midfielder insists he's happy at Old Trafford and wants to stay with Jose Mourinho for a long time.

Spanish outlet AS claimed recently that Valverde is keen to bring Herrera to the Nou Camp this summer.

The pair worked together for one season while at Athletic Bilbao.

Herrera has praised his former manager and believes he'll be a huge success at Barcelona but insists he's not looking to join him.

On Valverde, Herrera told Sport360: "He's a very smart manager.

"He doesn't have one style of football. He adapts himself to the players' abilities. That's the most important thing he has.

"Also, the way he treats people, the egos in the club and the team, is very important.

"I was with him for only one year but I really enjoyed it. He is very sincere, very transparent and I think he's going to be very successful there."

Herrera added: "Mourinho is a winner.

"Three trophies in his first season shows how he works and the way he is and I am really happy playing for him.

"Hopefully I can do it for a long time. I am going to learn, to experience the time with him and try to improve but I can be very thankful for all the managers I've had."

Herrera enjoyed a fine season with United last term, making 50 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The 27-year-old helped the Red Devils to claim the Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League titles.
