That’s the opinion of Arsenal hero Martin Keown who thinks for the money the Red Devils spent on the France international he should be impressing more.

Pogba played 51 times for United this season, netting nine goals and providing six assists.

Keown told the Daily Mail: “Paul Pogba has been a disappointment when you consider what Manchester United paid for him.

“Yes, Pogba won a couple of trophies but I feel there is more under the bonnet.”

Keown has sympathy for United full-back Luke Shaw though and has slammed Jose Mourinho for the treatment of the 21-year-old.

He added: “The player I feel most sorry for this season is Luke Shaw - particularly when I heard Jose Mourinho say that he was Shaw’s brain on the pitch.

“It made me cringe - it gave licence to all the dads who shout at their sons from the touchline.”

Shaw made just 19 appearances in all competitions and had his season cut short by an ankle injury.

United struggled in the Premier League, finishing way down in sixth position.

But they did beat Ajax to win the Europa League and secure Champions League football for next season.
