The Independent's sources in Spain and Manchester believe Real Madrid are confident of completing the signing of De Gea today after a saga that has lasted all summer.

Holland keeper Jasper Cillessen could be set to join United from Ajax, according to Daily Telegraph reporter Mark Ogden.
