Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry is in line to join Arsenal for the third time in his career.

The French forward, 37, has left the New York Red Bulls and is now expected to begin a career in coaching.

And Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says the door is open for Henry to return to the club.

"He is an Arsenal man. The best moments certainly of his life and of his career have been experienced here," Wenger said.

James McCarthy

Roberto Martinez says Everton star midfielder James McCarthy is not for sale.

McCarthy, 24, has been in sensational form for the Toffees and reports have suggested that Wenger is eyeing a January swoop.

But Martinez is confident he can keep the Republic of Ireland international out of the Gunners' clutches.

"I have said before, we are not a selling club. Obviously, we have invested heavily in young players and want that to continue," the Everton boss said.

"From our point of view, we are not looking to sell our assets. James McCarthy is part of our long-term future and what we want to achieve."

Christoph Kramer

Arsenal are also considering launching a £20m bid for German midfielder Christoph Kramer.

That's if a deal for Real Madrid's Sami Khedira fails to materialise.

Gunners boss Wenger is desperate to bolster his midfield options in the new year and has drawn up an extensive list of targets.

Khedira, McCarthy, Kramer and PSG's Yohan Cabaye are among those under consideration.
