Debuchy is set to miss between two to three months of the season after picking up an ankle injury during the 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
19-year-old Chambers, signed from Southampton in the summer for £16m, is his natural replacement at right-back despite Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger earmarking him for a more central role.
And the French international believes the England new-boy can fill in for him over the coming months.
"Calum is a very good player, he is very young and has a great potential," he said.
"He proved himself since the beginning of the season, when he performed very well.
"He is very talented and will bring a lot to Arsenal."
