TURNING ON SPURS: Lewis Holtby will give his Fulham team-mates information on Tottenham when Fulham travel to White Hart Lane tomorrow [GETTY]

The on-loan Cottagers midfielder can't face his parent club, but will have a vital role behinds the scenes.

Boss Felix Magath has asked the German to do an inside job against Spurs in a bid to help save 18th-placed Fulham from relegation.

In spite of an ongoing Premier League investigation into Cardiff's complaint against Crystal Palace finding out their team before a recent match, Magath insists every club tries their best to get crucial info about the opposition.

Magath said: "I always ask the players - John Heitinga against Everton and now Lewis against Tottenham - sure I will ask him how do you see the situation, how is that player, but it is not the only kind of information I will get.

I ALWAYS ASK: Fulham boss Felix Magath has revealed he always asks his players for information on their old clubs [GETTY]

"I try to get all the information I can get. You try to get any information you can, so I will try also to get any information from Tottenham for Saturday.

"I think Tottenham will also try to get information from us, you cannot blame anyone for trying to get information. If you are lucky you can, so it is good."

Fulham are just two points from safety with four games to go. But fire-fighter Magath says he is staying calm ahead of their run-in.

He added: "I find that stress is a good thing.

"If you have a situation and there is a lot of interest that might not be stress for us. I think we have very important games at the moment and if it works like the last two it will be OK.

"Nobody can be safe. If you see the results on Wednesday, you realise at the end of the season anything is possible. Everybody has a chance and we can go to Tottenham and try to win.

"It is not the time for celebrating because our aim is to stay in the league. There are a lot of days between now and the day we can celebrate.

"Now we have to go to Tottenham and have a very tough game ahead - we have to try to win that."
