Chris Hughton, however, believes he must further bolster his squad if he is to ensure his side avoid the drop this season.

Flint has been a stalwart at Bristol since his move there in 2013, while Mitrovic has played only a bit-part this season.

Hughton expects a hectic end to the transfer window, recently saying: 'It's not an easy window and that's why, looking at the Premier League, not a lot of business has been done.

'I'm sure there will be, but we have got used to these windows where the business is mostly done at the tail end of it more than the beginning.'
