Arsenal announce cryptocurrency partnership as they become first club in the world to do so

Arsenal had two reasons to be cheerful on Wednesday after reaching the Carabao Cup final.

Aside from their 2-1 win over London rivals Chelsea, the Gunners announced a landmark deal which will see them become the first club in the world to have an official cryptocurrency partner.

Arsene Wenger's side have reached an agreement with the gaming company CashBet, which is planning to launch its own currency CashBet Coin.

Jack Wilshere, David Ospina and Nacho Monreal, who all shone against Chelsea, were part of Arsenal's unveiling about their new partnership. 


Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal's Chief Commercial Officer, said: 'We are pleased to welcome Cashbet Coin as our partner. 

'We are looking forward to working with CashBet Coin as they launch their new cryptocurrency.'

An own goal from Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger and a Granit Xhaka strike saw Arsenal come from behind to beat Chelsea in the second leg of the Carabao Cup.

They will now play Premier League leaders Manchester City in the final at Wembley on February 25.
