Tottenham 4-0 Everton RESULT: Harry Kane becomes Spurs' all-time Premier League top scorer after they continue five-year dominance over Toffees

Here's the match report from today's game - a brilliant, record breaking night for Tottenham, and Harry Kane.

ROB DRAPER AT WEMBLEY: Spurs' response to that City defeat a month ago has been emphatic: five games, 13 points and 15 goals. They look to be back in their stride. That said, Everton were shockingly chaotic today

Spurs now only outside the top four on goals scored. Everton stay ninth, their goal difference battered.

Everton could have taken the lead in the first half when Wayne Rooney headed in from an offside position, but as soon as Son made it 1-0, this was heading one way.

Hary Kane doubled the lead less than two minutes into the second half, and scored his second of the day soon after - it was also his 98th in the Premier League for Tottenham, a club record.

The fourth goal was the best however, a flowing team move - Aurier's pass, Son's flick, Dele's heel, Eriksen's finish. The MATCH ZONE graphic below shows how it happened:

A deservedly comprehensive win for the hosts.

Can't we just have the final whistle? Jan Vertonghen is in my fantasy team and I fancy the clean sheet bonus.

Rooney attempts to set up a consolation for Everton, but his cross is behind Calvert-Lewin.

Everton have been just as poor as Tottenham have been brilliant.

SAMI MOKBEL FROM WEMBLEY: Stating the obvious, but this some performance from Spurs. It’s four (at the moment) but it could have been double that.

Pochettino will hope this is a sign of things to come in the Premier League. Top four should be the minimum for this team.

Straight after the goal, Moussa Sissoko replaced Mousa Dembele. Erik Lamela is on too, replacing Eriksen.

Best goal of the game.

Aurier sends in a low pass from deep, near the half way line. Son gets to it, flicking the ball over a challenge. He finds Alli, who back heels it to Eriksen, who sweeps into the net.

Words can't describe just how good that goal was.

Everton are having to work extremely hard to avoid being totally embarrassed.

Son again roasts Holgate, bears down on goal, but the centre back recovers with a sliding tackle.

Great double save!

Son leaves Kenny with twisted blood, shoots from 12 yards with his right foot, Pickford saves with his legs.

Alli seems set to tuck home the rebound, but Pickford is straight up and smothers the effort. Dele didn't catch it right, but take nothing away from the Everton No 1.

Wayne Rooney showing his most petulant side there.

Vertonghen dispossesses the former England forward as he runs in on goal, a super bit of defending. Rooney responds by tripping the defender deliberately, and gets a booking and a talking to from Craig Pawson.

Eric Dier off, Victor Wanyama - recently restored after injury - is on for a 15 minute spell.

Like for like in the centre of the park - Morgan Schneiderlin replaces James McCarthy.

This game has the atmosphere of a friendly now.

Another hat-trick for Harry Kane tonight? He has about 20 minutes to mark it up.

He is almost found by a Serge Aurier cross, but it is just about cut out.

ROB DRAPER AT WEMBLEY: Kane seemed almost embarrassed by the ease of that. What has happened to Allardyce’s compact and organised Everton?

Tottenham playing well but Everton just look as though they don’t have a plan to close space in midfield and defence.

Kane has now scored 20 goals in the Premier League for the fourth year in a row - only Henry and Shearer can claim to have done the same.

Allardyce gets an hour of hard work but little pay-off from Cenk Tosun, before removing the £27m man from his debut.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin on in his place.

Kane becomes Tottenham's all-time Premier League top scorer - and he does it with one of his scruffiest ever goals.

Low Eric Dier ball from the right bounces in, Kane catches it with the base of his studs, but its enough to deflect it off the turf, over Pickford and into the net.

That's 98 Premier League goals for Spurs - Kane leaves Teddy Sheringham behind on 97.

So close to 3-0 - Son Heung-Min takes aim from the edge of the area, but hits the upright.

Just before the hour, Allardyce makes his first change. Yannick Bolasie off, Aaron Lennon on against his former club.

This is nice to see - Lennon is cheered onto the pitch by both sets of fans, having previously played for Tottenham. The winger has had to overcome some health problems of late, so will appreciate that.

It has to be 3-0!

Dele Alli breaks into the area, but he dithers, is closed out by Holgate, and shoots into the side netting.

He has had a decent game today, Dele, but that won't quieten the doubters who have suddenly sprung up this season.

What can Everton do now? That goal was a real kick in the teeth.

Vertonghen meanwhile gets an arm in the teeth, illegally challenged by Mason Holgate.

The Pope is Catholic, bears defecate in woods, Harry Kane scores for Spurs.

Son central to the action again , menacing Holgate with a direct run. He fires a ball across goal - either a cross or shot, it is unclear, but what is certain is that Kane taps it in.

Kane looked marginally offside, it must be said. Assistant Lee Betts - the man who ruled out Rooney's header in the first half - again central to the action.

ROB DRAPER AT WEMBLEY: An Allardyce team is nothing if not organised so the space afforded Spurs for that opening goal was unfathomable. On the plus side, Tosun looks lively if only he could get some service

Chelsea held, a controversial late equaliser for Watford, a win at last for West Brom.

Plenty of talking points in these six games today.

Spurs, if they keep their lead, will move level on points with fourth-placed Liverpool, and put some daylight between themselves and Arsenal.

One big cross field ball opened Everton right up - Aurier had half the pitch to himself. Poor by Cuco Martina at left back for the Toffees.

Tosun bursts down the left, however his low cross is behind everyone. Everton keep it alive, but McCarthy's eventual shot is well wide.

Everton not out of this game, actively hunting a way back into the match.

Kane loses the ball in the Everton area, his pocket picked by Holgate as he looked to shoot.

He charges into the young defender as revenge, and gets a talking to off referee Craig Pawson.

This goal equals a record set by Jermain Defoe - Son has scored in five successive home league matches for Spurs. It called, of course, for a new custom handshake (see bottom photo).

ROB DRAPER AT WEMBLEY: Been hard to judge Tosun until that point as Everton has so little of the ball, But he climbed really well to meet that corner for Rooney’s disallowed goal. Allardyce will love more of that.

Rooney is left limping after he is hooked to the floor, however he should run it off.

Everton will have to come out of their shells here, if they want anything from the game.

Five home games in a row, Son scores again for Spurs!

Cross field ball finds Aurier in acres of space, the full back shanks his shot across the face of goal. However, Son is in the perfect spot to poke home from six yards.

Deserved opener for Tottenham.

This game is just starting to warm up after a tepid start.

Kane manufactures space on the edge of the box, gets a shot away, saved low by Pickford.

Wayne Rooney is certain he has given Everton the lead, as a second corner is flicked on by Tosun for him to head in from two yards - but the linesman's flag is up.

Rooney shakes his finger, but replays show the call was correct.

Spurs break straight up the other end, where an Aurier power drive is blocked by Holgate.

First Everton corner, given away by Dele Alli as he challenged Sigurdsson for a header.

The Icelanic international swings it in, but the England midfielder clears it.

SAMI MOKBEL AT WEMBLEY: Harry Kane is turning into some player. We know about his finishing - but his link up play has improved so much this season.

He’s already played a couple of cracking passes this afternoon. Moulding into the complete striker.

Pickford thumps his goal kick long, it's well touched on by the Turk, and Rooney shoots narrowly wide from the edge of the area.

Tosun has looked to have settled in well so far.

Dele Alli is caught by Gueye right on the edge of the box, slightly down the side on the left wing.

Eriksen whips one in, glancing header by Son, narrowly over.

First clear scoring chance today.

Spurs have had 60 per cent possession in the early stages, but haven't done much with it as of yet.

Everton have been happy to counter attack against the top sides under Allardyce, so expect that Spurs number to rise.

ROB DRAPER AT WEMBLEY: Slightly downbeat Wembley Stadium, though pretty much full.

Everton have lost three on the spin since the Allardyce revival. But with Bolasie, Rooney, Sigurdsson behind debutant Tosun, you would have to encouraged. Ronaldo Koeman would have liked to have been able to field those three behind the centre forward of his choice.

First corner goes to Spurs, Martina blocking an attempted Aurier cross.

Davies takes it, but it's flicked away, Jagielka again.

Very little atmosphere at Wembley early on.

Early pressure from Spurs here - Eriksen curls in a tasty cross towards Kane, which Jagielka does well to head away.

Cenk Tosun is making his English football debut at Wembley. Not a bad location to make his bow.

The £27million striker, signed from Besiktas, is straight into the Everton side today.

He is one of six changes from the New Year's Day defeat at home to Manchester United - both centre backs, Michael Keane and Ashley Williams, are out, with Jonjoe Kenny and Phil Jagielka brought in.

Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin, Nicola Vlasic and Oumar Niasse are also out; James McCarthy, Idrissa Gueye, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tosun come in.

Mauricio Pochettino makes only one alteration from Spurs' last Premier League match - a 1-1 draw at Wembley against West Ham - Mousa Dembele replaces Moussa Sissoko.

The likes of Michel Vorm, Kieran Trippier, Victor Wanyama and Fernando Llorente revert to the bench after FA Cup duty against AFC Wimbledon last week.

A win for Spurs would put them level on points with fourth placed Liverpool, who host runaway leaders Manchester City tomorrow.

A 5-0 win for Tottenham, incidentally, would put them into the top four.

Sam Allardyce has steadied the ship at Everton after their abysmal start to the season under Ronald Koeman - there is no longer the threat of relegation, now a fight for the Europa League places.

However, things have been tougher of late - no win in four in the league, and knocked out the FA Cup by rivals Liverpool.

Can they turn things around at Wembley today? Allardyce never got to manage there as England boss - can he get a win with the Toffees?
