Jermain Defoe has been awarded the Premier League goal of the month trophy for his spectacular half-volley for Bournemouth against Crystal Palace.
The 35-year-old scored both goals in the Cherries' 2-2 draw with the Eagles on December 9.
But it was his second that was a superb strike and ensured he became the second Bournemouth player to win the award.

Lewis Cook's long ball found Defoe in behind the Palace defence and from a tight angle he hit a half-volley which lobbed Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni.
Liverpool's Mo Salah and ex-Reds player Phillipe Coutinho were nominated for the accolade while Arsenal's Mesut Ozil, Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure, Swansea's Jordan Ayew, Burnley's Steven Defour and Chelsea's Danny Drinkwater were also in the running.
Following the 2-2 draw, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said: ‘He’s got no right to score.

The other Bournemouth player to win the goal of the month trophy was Charlie Daniels for his impressive strike against Manchester City in August.
Defoe returned to the south coast last summer on a three-year deal, but has scored just three goals for his new side this campaign.
