Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is in talks over a move to La Liga side Valencia.

The 26-year-old is a target for West Ham too but David Moyes fears the former France U21 international prefers a move to Spain over staying in London.

Valencia wanted Coquelin last summer but he stayed as he hoped to cement a place in the Arsenal starting line-up.

However, he has found himself on the periphery of Arsene Wenger's squad once again and Arsenal are prepared to sell.


Coquelin has made just seven appearances in the Premier League this season and is yet to play 90 minutes.

The Frenchman joined the Gunners as a 17-year-old from Stade Lavallois in 2008.
