Manchester United are hoping to head for a warm-weather break in Dubai this month - but that hinges on Stoke City.

Late goals by Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku saw them beat Derby on Friday night and Jose Mourinho revealed they are anxiously waiting on Stoke's result at Coventry.

The trip will be cancelled should Stoke be taken to a replay. That'd mean United's clash with Mark Hughes' side a week on Monday being brought forward and ruining their planned jaunt.

‘Everybody wants to go to Dubai,’ Mourinho said. ‘A week of good training, good facilities but now it depends on Stoke’s result. We go Monday but if they draw we don’t go.’

Mourinho also apologised to Henrikh Mkhitaryan for hooking him at half-time during the FA Cup victory and claimed he holds no worries over Marcus Rashford's form. The teenager has two goals in his last 21 games.

‘I didn’t like what I did (to Mkhitaryan). Unfair - he played well,' Mourinho added.

'My feeling was that Rashford is not going to score a goal and because of that I’m not going to lose time and I needed Romelu (Lukaku) so sacrificed Mkhitaryan.

'I’m not worried with Marcus because his good moment will arrive.'
