Cristiano Ronaldo looking to 'fight for a move' away from Real Madrid as 'he asks them to sell him for £89m with Manchester United and PSG informed'

  • Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for a move away from the Bernabeu
  • Tensions between him and the club president Florentino Perez have increased
  • Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have been informed about Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to 'fight for a move' away from Real Madrid as he has asked the club to sell him for £89million or less.

According to The Daily Record, Ronaldo's representatives have informed Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain that the player is looking to move, with £89million or less being the potential selling price in the summer transfer window.

The relationship between this year's Ballon d'Or winner and Madrid's club president Florentino Perez has deteriorated dramatically.

Sources close to the player suggest the relationship has become so tense that Ronaldo 'doesn't even want to talk to the president'.

Ronaldo's team are hoping that Perez would sell the Portugal international for a 'realistic fee' even though the release clause in his contract is £887million.

The 32-year-old signed a five-year contract back in November 2016, but Ronaldo's representatives are hoping he can be sold for less than a tenth of his release clause so that United and PSG can try to sign him.

Ronaldo is believed to be unhappy after Perez did not keep his promise and give him an improved contract.

In recent weeks, Perez was reported in Diario GOL of being fed up with Ronaldo's 'arrogant' approach of trying to obtain improved financial terms.

Ronaldo won the Treble with Madrid this year - La Liga, the Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup - but his salary is less than Neymar's and Lionel Messi's.

The Portuguese scored the winner to seal the Club World Cup and shortly after expressed his wish to end his career at Madrid, but admitted it was not down to him.

'I would really like to, but things don't depend on me,' he said.

'What depends on me is what I do on the pitch. I am not the one who runs the club, that is for those in charge.

'My job is on the pitch and I think I am doing it well, the rest I can't control.'
