Salah has been instrumental to Liverpool's team since signing in the summer.

His two goals against the Foxes took his tally for the season to 23, 17 of which have come in the Premier League.

Leicester's Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in the third minute but two second-half goals from Salah ensured the Reds maintained their unbeaten home record and stayed in the top four.

In his post-match press conference, Klopp said: 'I don't know in this moment exactly (what it is), but he was limping. That's never a good sign, to be honest.

'We have to see what his problem was. We will see what he can do for the next game.'

Heading into the new year, Liverpool are four points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham.
