Paul Clement has warned of the need for Swansea to invest in January, but insisted their quest to avoid relegation is not being compromised by fear.
Swansea face resurgent Everton stuck to the bottom of the table with their manager already looking ahead to the transfer window, with a striker an absolutely priority.
‘The owners know it’s clear we need to strengthen,’ said Clement. ‘My view is that we have to strengthen the forward positions as a priority. You look at the goals and ability to create, it’s nowhere near what you need to stay in this league. This is the priority but I don’t go into the Everton game with any fear. ’

Everton are unbeaten in their last five matches and Sam Allardyce is starting to get key players back from injury.
It is likely winger Yannick Bolasie will be on the bench having missed 12 months due to a serious knee injury suffered in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
‘It will be very pleasing to have him back in the squad, but I will be very delicate with the introduction,’ said Allardyce.
‘We can’t expect too much. He will be a little rusty but, if he does hit his level straight away, it would be fantastic.’
