West Ham 0-0 Arsenal, RESULT: Plus Premier League scores including Man United 1-0 Bournemouth, Liverpool 0-0 West Brom, Swansea 0-4 Man City and the rest of the night's action
- There were seven Premier League matches kicking off as early as 7.45pm GMT
- West Ham United and Arsenal played out a goalless draw at the London Stadium
- Runaway leaders Manchester City seal 15th straight victory at Swansea City
- Manchester United bounce back from derby defeat with win over Bournemouth
- Other results include Liverpool 0-0 West Brom and Tottenham 2-0 Brighton
- Elsewhere, Newcastle United 0-1 Everton and Southampton 1-4 Leicester City
Manchester City's 15th consecutive Premier League victory sees them retain an 11-point advantage over Manchester United.
The big movers are Tottenham who go from seventh to fourth. And just look at that battle for the final Champions League spot. Just one point separates Spurs, Liverpool, Burnley and Arsenal.
You can catch the full table on this link and the post-match fallout on the homepage. But that's all from me here thanks for following.
'West Brom fans singing 'cheerio!' as Liverpool supporters stream for the exits in frustration.
'Anfield is half empty and West Brom have done their job. These have been two costly games for Jurgen Klopp.'
What is going on in that Arsenal defence. A series of howlers presents Javier Hernandez with a glorious chance to win the game in the final minute but his side-footed effort crashes off the bar back onto the goalline and clear. What an opportunity for West Ham.
'This has been about as uninspiring as gets by United. They will just about scrape home against a very spirited Bournemouth side who deserve a draw from this game.
'David De Gea has been United’s best player at a very flat Old Trafford where there has definitely been a derby hangover.'
Game over at Wembley as Son Heung-min doubles Spurs' lead who as it stands are heading from seventh to fourth.
We've not had much action in this half, but Manchester United are heading for victory. In this half Marcus Rashford has rattled the crossbar from 25 yards.
'And that was one of Newcastle's better games... at least the first half. Darlow error again costly. Time for him to revert to sub, seems to lack concentration. Elsewhere, there's just not much quality. The Toon are in BIG trouble.'
'Brilliant call by referee Paul Tierney. Just when Liverpool thought they had a breakthrough, he spotted substitute Dominic Solanke had used his hand to beat Ben Foster.'
Deary me. Newcastle's miserable evening ends with Jonjo Shelvey picking up a red card for a dreadful challenge on Idrissa Gueye.
'That was Jack Wilshere's moment. The ball sat up nicely but he blazed it over the bar. Head in hands. He's gutted.
'That was Arsenal's 16th shot of the night so far – and two of them have been on target. Less than 20 minutes to go.
'By the way, where is Theo Walcott? On a night when Arsene Wenger has rotated his squad, he doesn't make the 18-man squad. From what I hear, he is not injured or unwell either.'
Heading into the final couple of minutes in the 7.45pm games. Manchester City and Leicester City are home and dry but what about Everton?
Newcastle haven't really looked like getting back into the game as they towards a seventh defeat in eight. Grim times on the pitch in the North East.
I think Swansea would settle for full-time right now. They are getting battered as Sergio Aguero joins the goal scoring party by driving at the home side's defence before finding space to drill home.
What a howler from Petr Cech! The Arsenal keeper fumbles a simple lofted cross from Mark Noble, and even puts the ball into the path of Marko Arnautovic.
The forward isn't alert enough to stick the ball into an unguarded net though and he eventually sees his scuffed effort blocked by Nacho Monreal.
'An old boy has just wandered past on his way out and whispered "Clement is a con man". So there you have it: Swansea have spoken.'
Sounds a bit harsh to me, Jack. Swansea were always going to be on a hiding to nothing this evening were they not?
So much for that Southampton comeback. The Saints had missed a good chance to make it 3-2 and they are made to pay for it as Leicester break through Mahrez.
The forward picks out Jamie Vardy who then squares for Shinji Okazaki to net his first Premier League brace.
'Apart from an overhead kick that saw him make more contact with Aaron Cresswell than the ball, Olivier Giroud has been quiet on his first start in the top flight this season.
'He had made 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League before finally getting the nod here. How long before Arsene Wenger decides to bring on Alexandra Lacazette?'
Hope for the Saints? Maya Yoshida climbs highest to head home a Ryan Bertrand corner. The 8pm matches are back underway...
Leicester and Manchester City seem to be in a battle of who can win by the biggest scoreline tonight. Leicester nearly get their noses in front for that battle but Fraser Forster dives and saves well from a Riyad Mahrez free-kick to prevent a fourth Foxes goal.
I feel rather sorry for Paul Clement. The Swansea boss finally ends a winless run with victory over West Brom and then all that momentum is shattered by a totally rampant Manchester City outfit.
David Silva finds the net again with a cool and skillful chip as the runaway leaders head for a 15th straight victory. Can anyone stop them?
I mean just look at this move for City's third goal

Heading into stoppage time of the 8pm kick-offs and Granit Xhaka rather sums up the first half at the London Stadium as he fires well wide from 35 yards. It's been a very even game in east London, but it hasn't helped bring on the goals.
The 7.45pm second halves are now getting underway...
Spurs looked like they needed a stroke of luck to break down Brighton and they do sure get it here. Serge Aurier's hopeful cross is so poor it turns into a shot and it leaves Mat Ryan helpless as the ball finds the net for the full-back's first Tottenham goal.
'Interesting moment with Loris Karius then. This game has not caught fire but the locals are becoming impatient and when Liverpool’s goalkeeper held onto the ball a fraction too long, they voiced their displeasure.
'Karius responded by turning to The Kop, shaking his head and urging them to be patient.'
There are also no goals at Wembley, despite Tottenham spending much of the first period in Brighton's half.
It's a familiar tale for the hosts who really do struggle to break down teams.
Elsewhere West Ham have had the ball in the net against Arsenal but Marko Arnautovic saw his effort ruled out for offside. It's half-time in the 7.45pm games.
'There was the merest hint of a celebration from Romelu Lukaku after opening the scoring.
'He turned away so matter-of-factly that you had to double check he wasn’t offside. The Belgian knows he has disappointed of late and owed his team that goal. He hugs Anthony Martial and blows a couple of kisses towards the stands but that’s about it.'
'Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow has just saved a fairly routine header - holding onto this one - cue ironic cheers from the home crowd.'
You wouldn't know it by his low key celebration but Romelu Lukaku opens the scoring for the hosts, ending his recent goal drought by nodding home a back post cross from Juan Mata.
So when will the home teams wake up? Leicester are now 3-0 up at Southampton with Andy King converting a Harry Maguire cross.
'Swansea are lame ducks here. Just waiting to be picked off and Man City are on their way to becoming the first side in top-flight history to win 15 consecutive games. Fabianski has played really, really well too!'
Consecutive win No 15 is looking inevitable now isn't it? Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick evading all in the box before creeping home.
Leicester are cruising on the south coast. Christian Fuchs volley from a set-piece is blocked on the line by Fraser Forster but Shinji Okazaki is on hand to tap home the afters.
'It was poor that Aaron Lennon was allowed to win a header in the area but even worse was Karl Darlow's attempt to save. He is costing Newcastle points right now, his spill allowing Wayne Rooney to poke home.'
'The atmosphere is how it is for most Premier League games at Anfield these days: flat.
'The crowd are waiting to react to something good on the pitch but, at present, Liverpool are being confronted by obdurate opponents.
'Alan Pardew has taken a leaf out of Everton’s book and packed his defence and midfield. If it carries on like this much longer, groans of frustration will soon surface.'
Nightmare from Karl Darlow who makes a real howler after an Aaron Lennon header (yes, pint sized Lennon) before Wayne Rooney sweeps home.
The only surprise about this scoreline is it has taken this long to come up. The two Silva's combine for Manchester City as Bernardo Silva crosses for David Silva to convert.
'Arsene Wenger resisted the overcoat for five minutes at West Ham, standing on the touchline arms folded, clearly perished, before pacing back and wrapping up in a way befitting a man of his advancing years on a December night.'
'Every time Rafa Benitez picks Mo Diame it splits supporters - there are those who would prefer him on the bench, and those who prefer him in the stands.
'There are very few want to see him in the starting XI and Diame does little to persuade them otherwise. He's having another strange game here, seeing a lot of the ball but invariably wasting it, much to the frustration of the doubters.'
'Game beginning to open up here. De Bruyne, who started wide right, has dropped into midfield and Aguero is starting to link play. Bony is holding his own for Swansea but they've not kept the ball enough yet.'
Just as well that Manchester derby wasn't in mid-August as Arteta would have looked rather silly with a woolly hat in the dugout. If you have been leiving under a rock and have no idea what I'm talking about, check out the above link.
And that means we now have all seven games underway. Bring on the goals...
'Love that Mark Noble has a no-nonsense look on his face in the tunnel. No hugs between both sets of squads. None of that with Noble there.
'Stuart Pearce just came and had a word in his ear too. He's ready to lead his team.
'As predicted, an unchanged XI from West Ham. What will truly intrigue me, though, is how their fitness holds up.
'Someone in the press room just told me they thought Michail Antonio looked dead on his legs after an hour against Chelsea. He was then taken off after 79 minutes.
'Will he last that long here? Two games in such a short space of time is a big ask for someone like Antonio.'
Cracking strike from Riyad Mahrez! The forward picks up the ball 30 yards from goal and as the Southampton defence drop off he takes a few touches before lashing home into the bottom corner.

In the first 10 minutes, Manchester City have had 86 per cent of the ball. But is possession the worst stat in football? Jordan Ayew nearly makes it look so as forced Ederson into decent stop.
'Today's news of progress in the takeover of Amanda Staveley has definitely lifted the atmosphere here inside St James'.
'The team have lost the last three at home but the Toon Army are right behind their side, for they probably know how important results will be in smoothing the takeover process.'
As you might expect it's all Manchester City so far, with Lukasz Fabianski reacting very well to deny Fernandinho on the edge of the box having seen the shot late.
'Arsenal start with four academy graduates in the team: Iwobi, Bellerin, Maitland-Niles and Wilshere, plus Coquelin on the bench.
'Wilshere, Maitland-Niles and Giroud all making their first Premier League starts of the season.
'Wenger reverts to a back-four for the first time since April. The Arsenal boss said on the eve of the game he preferred a four but had switched to a three in search of more solidity at the back. When it worked well, he stuck with it, but feels it has cost his team goals. So back to a four.
'Lacazette starts on the bench with Wenger conscious of a nagging groin issue, not serious enough to rule him out but causing concern.'
'Christmas songs on the PA system and snow in the air at Old Trafford. Hopefully there will be a little more seasonal goodwill than there was here when Manchester City won the derby on Sunday.
'You can probably gift wrap the title and hand it to Pep Guardiola's side now. United cannot afford another slip if they are to have any chance of catching City.'
'I must say Danilo coming in for Kyle Walker is a surprise tonight. City do play Spurs on Saturday but the right back's one of their fitter players and Danilo hasn't really pulled up any trees so far this season.
'Three of the back four wouldn't be starting if Pep Guardiola had his full compliment, which goes to show how well the City boss is doing.'

Two philosophies at play at the London Stadium. West Ham are unchanged from the side that defeated Chelsea 1-0.
Arsenal though make four alterations to the side that drew 1-1 at Southampton as Jack Wilshere, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Alex Iwobi and Olivier Giroud replace Per Mertesacker, Saed Kolasinac, Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette.
Jose Mourinho's response to losing the Manchester derby is to make four changes as Scott McTominay is joined in the starting XI by Luke Shaw, Juan Mata and Phil Jones as Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford make way.
Jermain Defoe fails to start for Bournemouth despite finding the net twice in the 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace as Eddie Howe brings in Harry Arter, Adam Smith, Callum Wilson and Dan Gosling. Steve Cook, Lewis Cook and Andrew Surman also drop out.
'418 days on from his last start in the Premier League, Erik Lamela has returned to Tottenham's line-up.
'He replaces Dele Alli, who has gone seven starts without a goal and was the quietest of Spurs' front even during the 5-1 victory over Stoke on Saturday.
'Argentine Lamela has been to hell and back, undergoing operations on both hips and spending extended time in Italy with the physio he previously worked with at Roma. He has made three appearances off the bench in recent weeks but tonight brings the first true test of his fitness and confidence.
'Jan Vertonghen is one yellow card away from a suspension this evening. He has been booked in two of his last three Premier League games and a caution tonight would be a major blow to Tottenham's aspirations when they visit Manchester City on Saturday.
'Toby Alderweireld is a long-term absentee and Davinson Sanchez is suspended due to his red card at Watford ten days ago. Should Vertonghen pick up a yellow card, the young Argentine Juan Foyth will be Mauricio Pochettino's remaining option in central defence.'
Erik Lamela is handed his first start in over a year for Tottenham Hotspur who make four changes from the team that defeated Stoke City 5-1.
Dele Alli drops to the bench as Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies, Mousa Dembele also make way with Serge Aurier, Danny Rose and Moussa Sissoko coming into the team.
Brighton make five changes to the team beaten 2-0 at Huddersfield Town as Gaetan Bong, Anthony Knockaert, Jose Izquierdo, Tomer Hemed and Baram Kayal come into the side at the expense of Bruno, Markus Suttner, Izzy Brown, Glenn Murray and Pascal Gross.
Mauricio Pellegrino makes four changes to his Southampton team that conceded a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal as Cedric Soares, Mario Lemina, Steven Davis and Sofiane Boufal come in for Jack Stephens, Pierre Hojbjerg, James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond.
Leicester City meanwhile also tinker following their 3-2 win at Newcastle as there are recalls for Christian Fuchs, Andy King and Shinji Okazaki as Vicente Iborra, Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray make way.
'Well, well, well. After indicating that more big changes were afoot and explaining that Mo Salah had a small issue in his hamstring, Jurgen Klopp selects Salah to face West Brom - not to mention Phillipe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
'This is only the second time these four have started a Premier League game for Liverpool. There are other changes, too, with Jordan Henderson dropping to the bench, while Loris Karius takes over in goal for Simon Mignolet, who failed to train on Monday.'
Meanwhile for West Brom there are two changes from the 1-0 defeat at Swansea as Grzegorz Krychowiak and James McClean come in for Sam Field and Jay Rodriguez.
'At Swansea and there is an incredible amount of noise coming from the Man City dressing room (which is next to the press room). No sightings of flying milk bottles/an angry Paul Clement.'
Despite the 2-1 win in the Manchester derby, Pep Guardiola freshens up his side by recalling Danilo, Eliaquim Mangala, Sergio Aguero and Bernardo SIlva in place of Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany, Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane.
Meanwhile bottom side Swansea City make just one from the team that defeated West Brom 1-0 as Jordan Ayew replaces Wayne Routledge.

'I reacted like I did because I felt it was undeserved. I thought the way we played and dominated meant the players deserved to win. I thought the manner in which the equalizing goal came about was undeserved,' Klopp said in his programme notes for the match with West Brom.
'If anyone was offended or takes exception to how I took the result on Sunday, I can offer the context of feeling the overall outcome was unfair and it's very hard to 'park' that emotion when speaking so soon after the game.
'Any criticism of team selection must be thrown at me and me alone. It is not acceptable to show any disrespect to the players who are picked and go out there to fight and perform for Liverpool.'
Speaking of team selection, team news from the 7.45pm games are coming right up...
Promising youngster Angel Gomes had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the last few months after stalling on a contract but pictured alongside Nicky Butt the midfielder has put pen to paper on a professional contract at Old the Red Devils.
Burnley's win last night has put them into the top four having played a game more but will they stay there as Liverpool Arsenal and Spurs get their right to reply?
Either way Sean Dyche's side are emerging as one of the stories of the season as Sportsmail looks into the Clarets' remarkable low budget compared to the elite who they are rubbing shoulders with.
'Hearing David Moyes will stick with Michail Antonio up front with Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic behind. It worked against Chelsea on Saturday, after all.
'Full team news will be revealed at 7pm but Moyes is not wanting to change a winning formula by the sounds of things. Understandable, though this is the time when those fitness levels are really going to get tested.
'As for Arsenal, I'm wondering whether West Ham will get to see their January target Jack Wilshere in the flesh. Wilshere wants game time and deserves it from what I've seen in his previous performances. Kick-off in this one is 8pm.'
Having beaten Stoke 5-1, Spurs will be hoping to kick on when they take on Brighton as Mauricio Pochettino's side arrive at Wembley.
West Ham's co-chairman David Sullivan is getting excited about the transfer market opening again.
'We will be looking to strengthen the squad,' said Sullivan in his programme notes for the Arsenal game. 'You can be rest assured that two or three new players will be brought in to improve the team.'
... as well as the results from last night.
