Real Madrid midfield maestro Toni Kroos has given his opinion on a debate that surrounded English football for more than 15 years.
When asked who was best out of English midfielders Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in a live Q&A on Twitter, Kroos picked Scholes.
The tweet from Monday night's Q&A session has gone viral with 43,000 retweets and 65,000 likes.

The discussion over who was better out of the three midfielders is one that continually resurfaces on social media.
A host of top-class players, including Zinedine Zidane and Xavi, have said in the past they regret not playing alongside Scholes.
The midfielder almost replaced Scholes at Old Trafford before his move to Real Madrid
Scholes retired from Manchester United in 2013 and Kroos was set to replace him
Understandably Kroos' response has gone down well with Manchester United fans.
The German international was close to joining United back in 2014 but instead opted for a move to Spain to sign for Real Madrid.
Scholes retired from United in 2013 and Kroos could have filled the void left by the Englishman.
In fact, former United boss David Moyes revealed last year that he wanted to bring in Kroos during his time in charge as he saw him as the perfect replacement for Scholes.
