As jinxes in football go, it's up there with some of the more unusual.
Since Mauricio Pochettino released his autobiography Brave New World, his team Tottenham's Premier League form seems to have fallen off a cliff.
They have taken only four points from a possible 15 since Pochettino's tome hit the shelves back on October 26.

Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat at Leicester City was just the latest setback in a worrying slump that has seen them fall 13 points behind leaders Manchester City and within the sights of seventh-place Burnley.
Indeed, Sean Dyche's Clarets, presently in seventh spot, will overtake Spurs if they win at Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
The barren league run has taken in a 1-0 defeat at Manchester United, a 2-0 loss in the north London derby at Arsenal and a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to West Bromwich Albion.
The defeat at Leicester on Tuesday was their fourth of the season and it's already looking a tall order for Spurs to challenge for the title or even replicate last season's second-place finish.
A downbeat Pochettino said after the Leicester loss: 'We did not play in the way we normally play. The first half was a poor performance and it was difficult after that to get back into the game.
'We feel very disappointed in our performance. We started the game not in the right way and we conceded the opportunity to them to score. At 2-0 down it is difficult.'
Brave New World was written by Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague and offers readers an 'exclusive behind-the-scenes story of the Mauricio Pochettino revolution at Spurs.'
It offers a detailed insight into events last season, their final one at White Hart Lane, and reading like Pochettino's diary.

The one bright moment in the league since publication was a 1-0 home win over Crystal Palace, though they were far from convincing against the basement dwellers.
It contrasts sharply with their early-season league form, which saw them win six of their opening nine fixtures to keep pace with the Manchester clubs.
One positive amid the gloom is that the curse of Pochettino's book hasn't spread to the Champions League, where they have recorded wins over Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in that time to qualify for the last-16.
Spurs are at home to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
