Work on Tottenham's new stadium continues apace as the latest pictures of their new home have emerged.

Construction on their new 61,559-capacity stadium, which is being built adjacent to the club's old White Hart Lane ground, continues as the stadium starts to take shape.

They have been playing their home matches this season at Wembley Stadium while construction takes place, and have not lost at their temporary home in the Premier League since the 2-1 defeat against Chelsea.

Construction work on the ground remains on schedule with the main bowl now complete

Spurs are hoping to have the stadium ready for the 2018-19 season and have given supporters a fresh insight by releasing an update on the work on their official Instagram account.

They shared an aerial snap that shows inside the stadium bowl and the progress that has been made on each stand on Wednesday.

The lower and upper tiers are almost in place on every stand and new steel 'trees' are also being installed to support the single-tier South stand, which will hold 17,500 spectators alone.

Tottenham have been keeping supporters up to date by sharing regular updates and also posted several interior and exterior snaps of the stadium on Twitter.

The construction workers have been working relentlessly hard on the project for the past 18 months and they are starting to make some real headway.

Tottenham's latest pictures illustrates how much progress has been made recently in comparison to what the ground looked like only last month.

When complete, their new stadium will be the largest football ground in London and will also serve as a venue for at least two NFL International Series matches a season, thanks to the world's first retractable pitch.

There are also plans for the ground to host pop concerts as well as other sporting fixtures.
