David Moyes is hopeful Marko Arnautovic will declare himself fit to play against Leicester City on Friday night.
The £20million signing from Stoke City injured his hand when trod on by Marvin Zeegelaar during Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Watford.
Arnautovic underwent scans and, despite heavy swelling, there is no break and he is expected to play.

Moyes could also be lifted by the return from illness of Andre Ayew who would give him a much-needed option in attack.
West Ham fans reacted angrily to Sunday's defeat turning much of their attention towards the members of the board who were sat in the Vicarage Road stands.
Though the performance was not what Moyes had demanded he believes there were some positives he can work with as he looks to make big improvements within a limited timescale.
West Ham are third from bottom, one point behind West Brom, who sacked Tony Pulis on Monday, and one point ahead of Swansea, who are contemplating Paul Clement's future.
Following Friday's game against Leicester, Moyes's faces his former club Everton on Wednesday.
