Arsenal are considering a £35million move for Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha as they attempt to line up a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners seem consigned to losing their Chilean forward, either when his contract expires next summer or in January.
However, according to The Sun, Arsene Wenger has started to plan for life without Sanchez and has singled out Zaha as the ideal replacement.

The 25-year-old played in Crystal Palace's defeat to Huddersfield on the opening day of the Premier League season but was then ruled out for the next six matches with a knee injury.
He has returned in fine form and has scored vital goals for the Eagles, including the winner against Chelsea and a late equaliser against West Ham.
Zaha signed a new five-year deal at Selhurst Park in the summer but that has not put teams off with Tottenham also supposedly interested.
It is understood Manchester City will step up their pursuit of Sanchez after missing out on his signature in the summer.

The Gunners would consider selling their wantaway star for £30million in January to ensure they receive some financial benefit of seeing him through the exit door.
Earlier this week it was reported that Wenger had targeted an exchange deal with PSG, with a view to getting Julian Draxler in return for the 28-year-old.
Wenger has long been an admirer of the Germany international, who has struggled for first-team football since arriving in Paris at the beginning of the year.
