Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is willing to sell Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain in January — but only if he gets Julian Draxler in return. 

Wenger has long been an admirer of the Germany international, who has struggled for first-team football since arriving in Paris at the beginning of the year. 

And, according to the Daily Star, Wenger will renew his interest in the playmaker should Sanchez want to depart the Emirates when the window reopens.

It is understood Manchester City will step up their pursuit of Chile forward Sanchez after missing out on his signature in the summer.

The Gunners would consider selling their wantaway star, whose contract expires at the end of the season, for £30million in January.

However Wenger would prefer to have a player in return, which could make a move to the Etihad Stadium tricky.

The Daily Star report that Wenger is hoping to go back in for Draxler if the French giants show an interest in Sanchez.

Draxler, who has made 14 appearances for PSG this season, may be tempted by the move considering competition for places in Paris is fierce following the big-money arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old Draxler is part of the Germany squad who face England on Friday night.
