Aguero revealed his wish to return to Argentina with first club Independiente
Aguero, currently on international duty with Argentina, is City's all time record goal scorer
Aguero told Argentinian newspaper Clarin: 'It came out that Milan and Real Madrid wanted me and - I don’t know where I read it - but they said, "They just spoiled Independiente’s dream." The idea was always to go back to Independiente when my contract with City runs out in 2019.
'I have an option to extend one more year with City but it’s always an option. The idea is to go back. Now, I’m doing very well and hopefully we can win the title, but it’s not easy.'
City have previously claimed Aguero has already agreed a one-year extension to his current deal, but with the club courting Alexis Sanchez and wielding Gabriel Jesus up front, the 32-year-old is facing huge pressure on his first team place.

Aguero won the Premier League in 2012 and 2014 and recently scored his 178th City goal - in just his 263rd game - to break a record held since 1930s player Eric Brook.
The Argentina international said he never expected to break the record so quickly and is delighted with his achievement.
He said: 'I never thought I'd reach that record so quickly. Ever since I went to play for Manchester City, we won the Premier League Championship in our first year and I said to myself, "I hope we can grow on this" - then, I started to score, score, score.
'You need over 10 years to get such a record, and I only have played for six years and three months and I'm very happy for doing it in such a short amount of time.'
