Arp scored to help Hamburg beat Stuttgart 3-1 last weekend, following on from his consolation strike in their defeat by Hertha Berlin the previous week, which made him the club's youngest ever goalscorer.
'I have a huge chance here and I'm really happy to be an integral part of the Bundesliga squad,' said Arp.
'The hype is honestly a bit scary to me. At the moment, I just want to focus on football.'
Arp has pinpointed Harry Kane as his role model and has similarities in style with the Tottenham and England centre forward.
He is under contract until 2019 but Hamburg, lying just above the relegation zone in the Bundesliga, are braced for clubs taking a keen interest in their latest academy star.
