Tammy Abraham has committed his future to England despite being offered a guaranteed place in Nigeria's World Cup squad.

The Swansea striker looks likely to be given some game-time due to Harry Kane's withdrawal
Abraham said: 'I see myself as being a long-term England player. That is where my main focus is and I am 100 per cent focused on trying to get into that team.
'I was pretty set on England really. It was flattering (that Nigeria wanted me) — it was nice to know that I was doing something right — but my main focus was England.'
If the Nigeria Football Federation had their way, Abraham would be preparing for their team's game against Algeria on Friday.
Abraham turned down the chance to play for Nigeria despite a guaranteed World Cup spot
The 20-year-old snubbed a place at Russia 2018 with the nation of his parents' birth, having played extensively for England at junior level.
Even if Abraham plays against Germany on Friday or Brazil a week on Tuesday, he would not be officially bound to England.
That would change once he plays in a competitive fixture.
