Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez appeared happy as he trained with his team-mates ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

The Chile international can be a bit of a mystery to Gunners fans as his body language on and off the pitch can be hard to interpret.

But with his contract situation still up in the air and as Arsene Wenger prepares to face the side who tried to sign Sanchez in the summer - and who are still pursuing his signature - Arsenal's main man seemed somewhat content.

Wenger and his side trained on Saturday afternoon at their London Colney training base ahead of the crunch tie against City.

The French boss looked on with a watchful eye as his players took part in a small passing drill and a match-situation exercise.

And Sanchez seemingly enjoyed the session as he was snapped hysterically laughing despite his Emirates future still being up in the air.

Midfielder Jack Wilshere also trained and would have been eager to impress Wenger as he looks to get more games under his belt.

Arsenal will be up against it when they travel to the Etihad to take on an in-form City side, who are yet to lose a competitive game this campaign.

But Theo Walcott has seen weaknesses in Pep Guardiola's side and has insisted they have the attacking quality to exploit them at the back.

'It is going to be the biggest test we have faced this season so far,' he told the club website.

'Everyone needs to be ready, it isn't going to be easy but without doubt we have a chance. We have quality throughout this whole squad.

'It is very early days still but they seem to score more goals, but defensively I still feel like we can get at them, they will be worried about us.

'We need to concentrate on their main threats but you can't go into a game being afraid of teams because that is a negative straight away. You need to be positive and we that's how we are feeling.'
