MailOnline fantasy football team of the week: Leroy Sane bags 11 points for second straight game as Arsenal star Sead Kolasinac defies defensive logic

It was a good week for Manchester City midfielders as Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Fernandinho all scored in a 3-2 win at West Bromwich Albion.

As a result, the City trio form more than a quarter of Sportsmail's Premier League fantasy football team of the weekend.

Two Liverpool players and an Arsenal duo also make it in matchweek 10.

GK: Nick Pope - Burnley - 1 Game + 5 Saves + 1 Clean Sheet = 9 Points

Pope started the season as Burnley's second choice in goal.

But an injury to Tom Heaton followed by four clean sheets in seven appearances - his latest coming in Monday's 1-0 win over Newcastle - has seen the 25-year-old rack up 44 points, which is more than Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech.

DF: Sead Kolasinac - Arsenal - 1 Game + 1 Goal + 1 Assist - 1 Goal Conceded = 11 Pts

Defenders are generally picked by fantasy managers based on their chances of keeping a clean sheet, but Kolasinac defied that logic on Saturday.

Arsenal failed to shut out Swansea but Kolasinac was still the most valuable defender in matchweek 10 after scoring his side's first before setting up Aaron Ramsey to seal a 2-1 win at the Emirates.

DF: James Milner - Liverpool - 1 Game + 1 Assist + 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Pts

Milner could have scored even more points had Mohamed Salah allowed Liverpool's normal spot-kick specialist to take a first-half penalty in their 3-0 win over Huddersfield.

DF: Christian Fuchs - Leicester City + 1 Game + 1 Assist + 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Pts

Fuch got three points for arguably the luckiest assist in Premier League history.

He played a simple pass to Demarai Gray, who sent in a poor cross-cum-shot which Jonjoe Kenny sliced into his own net during Leicester's 2-0 win over Everton.

It looked for all the world like an own goal but Premier League officials deemed that, had it been left, Gray's ball in would have worked the goalkeeper, so the winger took the credit and Fuchs pinched the assist.

MF: Leroy Sane - Manchester City - 1 Game + 1 Goal + 1 Assist = 11 Pts

Sane recorded his second consecutive 11-point week as he scored and assisted in City's 3-2 victory at West Brom.

MF: Fernandinho - Manchester City - 1 Game + 1 Goal + 1 Assist = 11 Pts

Not many fantasy managers had the foresight to pick Fernandinho, with the Brazilian widely considered a defensive midfielder.

But he has now scored twice in three Premier League games. 

MF: Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal - 1 Game + 1 Goal = 8 Pts

Ramsey's winner against Swansea was his second goal in seven days.

MF: Raheem Sterling - Manchester City - 1 Game + 1 Goal = 8 Pts

Sterling is just one goal behind Golden Boot frontrunner Harry Kane after scoring for a seventh time in the Premier League this season.

MF: Eden Hazard - Chelsea + 1 Game + 1 Goal = 8 Pts

Hazard started as a No 10 behind Alvaro Morata in Chelsea's 1-0 win at Bournemouth where he was unlucky not to earn a stack of assist points.

The Belgian created chance after chance for his team-mates but ultimately had to do it all himself as he scored the only goal with a tidy finish just after half time.

FWD: Jamie Vardy - Leicester City - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 7 Pts

Leicester looked deadly on the break against Everton, with the pacy Vardy in his element.

Vardy's strike to put the Foxes ahead was so similar to many of his 24 goals that fired Leicester to title glory in the 2015/16 campaign.

FWD: Roberto Firmino - Liverpool - 1 Game + 1 Goal = 7 Pts

Firmino's third Premier League goal helped the Reds put away Huddersfield as he took his fantasy points tally to 40 for the season.
