Arsenal will 'refuse to sanction Alexis Sanchez sale for under £30m' in new year despite risk of losing Manchester City target on free transfer in summer
- Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will reportedly demand £30m for Alexis Sanchez
- Manchester City are keen to sign the 28-year-old in the January transfer window
- City seem to be in a strong bargaining position as his contract expires in June
- But Wenger is apparently refusing to budge on his valuation of the Chilean star
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly sticking to his guns regarding the club's valuation of star man Alexis Sanchez.
Chilean Sanchez has just eight months left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, meaning he could leave the Gunners on a free transfer in the summer.
Manchester City are keen to buy Sanchez in January - which would save Arsenal the indignity of losing their most prized asset for no fee - but The Sun claim Wenger is determined to get at least £30million in the new year and will not budge.

Arsenal paid a similar figure in 2014 when they signed Sanchez from Barcelona.
Sanchez, who rejected a £300,000-a-week contract extension with the London club in August, has given Arsenal good value for money on their initial outlay.
He has scored 54 goals and assisted 24 more in 109 Premier League appearances.
Arsenal have twice won the FA Cup during Sanchez's three full seasons at the club, but the closest they have come to Premier League glory was in the 2015-16 campaign when they finished 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester.
Sanchez, now aged 28, is desperate to add to his list of major honours, including one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey and one FIFA Club World Cup with Barca.
He seems much more likely to achieve the success he desires at City, who are already nine points clear of the Gunners after nine rounds of league fixtures.
