Liverpool's biggest problem against Spurs isn't scoring goals... it's keeping them out, says Graeme Souness: 'I don't know how you stop Harry Kane'
- Liverpool travel to London to face Tottenham in Sunday's late televised game
- Graeme Souness believes his old side will have no problem scoring at Spurs
- The issue, according to Souness, is keeping the goals out with Harry Kane up top
- He admits he doesn't know how to stop the 'potentially world-class' Kane
Liverpool legend Graeme Souness believes his former club will have no problem scoring goals against Tottenham on Sunday - but stopping them could be difficult.
Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Spurs on the back of a stunning 7-0 Champions League triumph, but pundit Souness admits scoring has never been the issue.
With the formidable force of Harry Kane expected to start up top for Tottenham on Sunday, the Scot believes Liverpool must instead concentrate on defence.
Harry Kane will hope to net his first Wembley Premier League goal of the season on Sunday
Graeme Souness admits he doesn't know how to stop the formidable Kane from scoring
'Their biggest problem today will not be scoring goals, but stopping them,' Souness wrote in his Sunday Times column.
'Can Liverpool contain the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, who was suspended on Tuesday night? Particularly Kane, I don't know how you stop him at the moment.'
Kane has scored 11 goals in 10 games for Tottenham so far this season, but is yet to notch at the club's temporary Wembley home.
Souness, though, describes Kane as a 'puzzle solver' going into Sunday's game, where he will look to take Spurs within five points of leaders Manchester City.
Souness insists Kane has the potential to be world class if he keeps improving like he is
The former Liverpool man also heaped praise on Christian Eriksen, calling him a 'wizard'
'All great players are puzzle solvers,' Souness explains. 'They came up with answers to the obstacles in front of them, whether you're trying to push them into certain areas, man-marking them or whatever.
'That's what Kane has been doing for the past two years. He's a fabulous goalscorer with a great football brain and has the potential to be world-class.
'Eriksen comes into that category as well. He's a little craftsman, a delight to watch and a wizard on his day.'
