The 24-year-old has undergone a gruelling training regime in his attempts to return to the pitch for Jose Mourinho's United after consistently posting images working in the club's Carrington gym.

United will travel to Huddersfield on Saturday with injuries still hindering Mourinho's progress, after Pogba along with others was added to the 'long-term injury list' by two weeks after limping off at Old Trafford - also consisting of Michael Carrick, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marouane Fellaini.

Manager Jose Mourinho has admitted his absence was missed during goalless Liverpool draw

'Long-term injuries I don’t speak about them – Ibra, Pogba, Rojo, I don’t think about these players,' Mourinho said.

Taking into account United's dismal performance at Anfield in a goalless draw with Liverpool, It's fair to say Pogba was missed by his team-mates.

United have coped though, winning six of their seven matches with the Frenchman and conceding conceding just twice.

Despite this though, and despite Mourinho taking the positives from a tough-fought result with their old foes Liverpool, Sportsmail reported that he couldn't deny the impact Pogba's injury, along with others', has had an impact on his side.

'As a coach you are on the bench and you try to anticipate things and I had no midfielder to do what I could do many, many times which is to be with three strong midfield players and then give more freedom to my three attacking players,' Mourinho said.

'I couldn't do that, I had no Fellaini, no Pogba, no Carrick, nothing at all. The only chance I had to change the direction of the game was to bring on players with one against one, bring on players with speed.'

It's likely that Mourinho will be left frustrated for at least another two weeks, with Marouane Fellaini targeting a comeback against Chelsea on November 5, while Pogba's absence is set to outstretch his manager's return to his former club.
