Arsenal star Theo Walcott works up a sweat in training as he looks to force his way into Arsene Wenger's side

Theo Walcott is fighting hard for his Arsenal future, and clearly wants everyone on his Instagram to know it.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Arsene Wenger but he has since upped his game in the gym, posting photo after photo of his workouts in recent days.

His most recent effort, a before-and-after shot, showed just how much of a sweat he worked up and also acted as an advert for his protein drink of choice.

WALCOTT'S RECOVERY SHAKE IN DETAIL

The RGF-1 Shake and Take recovery drink is designed to make consuming protein as easy as possible, providing the powder in the bottle and requiring the addition of cold water.

It retails at £2.50 per bottle from www.pas-nutrition.co.uk.

With sweat dripping from his brow, Walcott snapped himself sipping at an RGF-1 Shake and Take drink, which is produced by PAS Nutrition and costs a hefty £2.50 per serving.

His caption also comes complete with the hashtag 'RSBvAFC', which appears to confirm he will be involved in Arsenal's Europa League group stage tie against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday.

Walcott has barely featured in the Premier League this season, but has started both of their Europa League games, scoring twice in the 5-2 win over BATE Borisov last month.

Another good performance in Serbia could see him push for a place in their next league game, an away tie to Everton on Sunday.

As it stands, Walcott has made just three appearances from the bench in Arsenal's eight Premier League games, but a 2-1 reverse to Watford may give Arsene Wenger reason to consider changes.

If he cannot earn a regular starting spot, Walcott can kiss his chances of making England's World Cup squad goodbye. Gareth Southgate has not called Walcott up to the Three Lions since taking charge and only a good run of form will see that change.

He has recently been linked with a January return to Southampton, where he originally burst on the scene as a 16-year-old before moving to Arsenal in 2006.
