Jay Rodriguez is looking to play himself into World Cup contention for England.
The West Bromwich Albion forward has revived his career following his £12million summer transfer from Southampton and that has alerted England manager Gareth Southgate.
The 28-year-old is seen as a player who can link midfield and attack with his intelligent running and passing while he has the ability to play across the front line.

Southgate was in the stands for Monday night's 1-1 draw with Leicester City but plans to watch Rodriguez again over the coming weeks ahead of the November friendlies with Germany and Brazil.
The England boss is also understood to have checked with Albion staff and previous coaches at Southampton about the injury troubles Rodriguez had plus his attitude to training and his current fitness levels.
Rodriguez has one cap after playing for England against Chile in 2013.
