Tottenham must offer Harry Kane a major increase in his contract if they are to stop him from leaving the club, according to Rio Ferdinand.
Kane, who has scored 15 goals in his last 15 games for club and country, has started to attract major interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
Sportsmail understands that the striker, who is contracted to Spurs until the summer of 2022, currently earns just over £100,000 per week.

Rio Ferdinand says Kane needs to be paid the Premier League's going rate
But Ferdinand, who was backed up by his fellow pundits during BT Sport's coverage of Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid, believes Kane needs to be paid his market value.
'Pay the man the money,' he said. 'You gotta keep him at the club.
The former Manchester United and England defender also suggested that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy must be the most dialled number on Kane's phone.
Ferdinand believes Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy must receive calls from Kane all the time
He said: 'If I'm Harry Kane then the chairman - his phone number is the most dialled number on my phone - because I'm telling them their needs to be parity within the league.
'You've got a superstar in your team and there needs to be parity within the league. If he's looking around the league and sees players on phone number wages, I need to have some parity for what I'm doing, not only for last season it's the last three seasons he's been doing it.
He added: 'I would be scared if i don't get my top man signed up I'd be scared I would lose some of my other players. What's [Dele] Alli going to do, what's [Christian] Eriksen going to do if they don't get him signed up.'

Sportsmail columnist and former Spurs midfielder Glenn Hoddle agreed with Ferdinand. He also warned that Kane can't stay loyal to the club forever.
He said: 'You knock on the [chairman's door] if you're his agent or one of his team-mates even and says in there if we lose Harry Kane what do we think of Tottenham's chances? If we lose him to injury, and you hope he doesn't... that's how important he is. If you take him out of that team they are half the team they are.
'You've got to pay him [if you're Daniel Levy]. He will go eventually you can only say I'm a Spurs man for so long in the end if the top top teams.'
