Danny Rose could make his first appearance for Tottenham since January as Mauricio Pochettino confirmed he may be among the substitutes in their Champions League tie against Real Madrid.
Rose travelled to the Spanish capital with the Tottenham squad despite only recently returning to first-team training following his recovery from a serious knee injury and was pictured training on the Bernabeu pitch on Monday evening.
With Ben Davies sidelined through illness, the manager has been forced to fast-track the England international back into the team and suggested he may make an appearance from the bench if required.

Speaking to the press at the Bernabeu ahead of Tottenham's third group game of the season on Tuesday, Pochettino also confirmed that Mousa Dembele has traveled with the team after a month out with an ankle injury.
Asked if Rose will feature, he said: 'To play from the start, no. But maybe on the bench.
'He’s doing well. He’s excited and motivated and happy. It’s good for him and for the group, to be involved like Mousa Dembele, too.'
Another surprising figure on the plane to Madrid was that of Dele Alli, who traveled with the squad despite being suspended for the match.

Alli was sent off in the first leg of last season’s Europa League tie with Gent and the game against the Champions League and La Liga holders will be the last of his three-match ban.
The England international even trained with his Tottenham team-mates on the Bernabeu pitch on Monday evening and Pochettino believes it was important to keep the squad together for the trip.
Addressing Alli's presence, Pochettino revealed: 'Dele wanted to come and stay with the team. We have some injured players like [Erik] Lamela still recovering and [Victor] Wanyama at the training ground - they prefer to stay there.
'We invite them to come and stay with the group because I think it is an important game and to have the possibility to stay all together.'
