Manchester United, Everton, Leicester and Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry.

The 20-year-old has impressed at the heart of Boro's defence this season and earned a call-up to the England Under 21 squad.

Fry has played nine Championship games under Garry Monk, who has been charged with settling the ship at Riverside following relegation.

However, he was taken out of the firing line last weekend after a blip against Norwich City.

In his absence, they could only earn a disappointing draw at home to Brentford, conceding two goals in a match for only the third time this season.

Fry, who has represented England at every level from Under 17s upwards, was also a member of the England Under 20s squad that won the World Cup in South Korea last summer.
