Ryan Giggs has once again shown why he is the living embodiment of the phrase 'form is temporary, class is permanent'.
The Manchester United legend, now 43 years old, flashed back to his playing days – this time in futsal – while playing in the Indian Futsal league for the Mumbai Warriors.
Giggs showed his class was transferable onto the futsal stage as he fired Mumbai to 5-3 victory over Chennai Singhams last week.

The Welshman plays for Mumbai Warriors and scored a screamer on Wednesday
His left-footed half-volley rifled past the Chennai Singham's goalkeeper into the top corner
The Welshman struck a sweet half-volley from distance in the victory, which rifled into the top-right corner and left the Chennai keeper hopeless.
Set up last year, the event is a three-week tournament, and is endorsed by Giggs, along with other footballing greats such as Hernan Crespo, Ronaldinho, Paul Scholes and Michel Salgado.
Giggs and Scholes have already met in the event this season, with the latter getting the better of his former team-mate as his Bangaluru Royals team edged a 3-2 victory - in which Scholes netted after two minutes - to help his side top the league table on goal difference.

Giggs left United in 2016 and accepted the offer to play in the flagship event shortly after. Following a successful opening season, the event organisers are aiming to release an 'international edition' in 2018.
The ex-Manchester United midfielder and coach was back to winning ways after leaving his beloved United, helping Mumbai to the Indian Premier Futsal title in its debut season.
Mumbai are struggling of late, however, and his goal against Chennai, Crespo's team, was Giggs' third of the season, leaving Mumbai fourth in the league table and a long way off retaining their title.
