Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard was pleasantly surprised to discover that his defensive ability is rated as 32 out of 100 on FIFA 18.

The Blues ace, who is the joint-eighth best player on the game overall with a score of 90, joked that he only deserves 5/100 as he admitted: 'I don't play defence.'

Hazard and team-mates David Luiz and Andreas Christensen were recently visited by Rio Ferdinand, who delivered their new ratings in a YouTube video for FIVE.

Former Manchester United captain Ferdinand got the Chelsea men to play a game where they had to guess their new ratings after being shown their FIFA 17 scores.

Luiz, who was in a typically jovial mood, also commentated on Hazard's reluctance to track back, claiming he has given up telling the Belgian to defend.

'I have known him a long time so I don't lose my energy screaming,' said Luiz.

Brazilian defender Luiz, whose overall 86 makes him the equal-47th best player on the game, was unhappy with his own rating for shooting.

Luiz was alarmed to discover than midfielder N'Golo Kante's 66/100 shot rating is two points above his own.

Kante's overall rating of 87 is the same as Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Hazard is the joint-best player in the Premier League, alongside United goalkeeper David de Gea, according to FIFA 18.

After Hazard and De Gea, the Premier League's top boys are Alexis Sanchez, Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Thibaut Courtois who all score 89.
